For cafés, restaurants, bars and bakeries

Websites for cafés and restaurants that fill tables.

When someone looks you up, they want your menu, your hours and a way to book, usually on a phone, often while standing outside. A good hospitality website gets them there in one tap and makes your food look as good as it tastes.

What a hospitality website needs

The essentials for cafés and restaurants. Get these right and the site starts bringing people through the door.

  1. A menu that’s easy to read

Real text, not a blurry PDF. Easy to read on a phone, easy for Google to see, and easy to update when dishes change.

  2. Hours you can’t miss

Opening hours and your address right at the top, so nobody turns up to a closed door.

  3. Booking in one tap

A clear “Book a table” button, connected to the booking system you already use, or a simple request form.

  4. Photos that make people hungry

Your food and your room, shown big and well-lit. It is the single biggest reason people choose one place over another.

  5. Events and private dining

A simple page for functions, catering or private dining, where the bigger bookings come from.

  6. Fast on mobile data

Pages that load quickly on a phone, even on a weak signal, so hungry people don’t give up and go next door.

Examples

See what it could look like.

Concept sites for two fictional venues: a Surry Hills café with today’s menu on the homepage, and a fine-dining restaurant with a tasting menu and reservations. Click either to look inside.

What I’d recommend

Essential: A$1,190, then A$49/month

For most cafés I’d recommend Essential: up to 5 pages for menu, about, events, location and bookings. If you want online reservations built in, a full gallery or several menus, Business or Growth is a better fit.

How it works

From first call to launch in four steps.

The same clear process for every project. An Essential site is usually ready for your review within about a week of receiving your content. Exact timing is in your written quote.

  1. Discovery

A short call about your business, your customers and what the site needs to do. You get a written quote with the scope and timing.

  2. Direction and design

We agree the page structure and the look, then you see the design on your own phone before anything is built.

  3. Development

The site is built, connected to your enquiry email and tested on phones, tablets and desktops.

  4. Launch and refinement

Your domain is connected and the site goes live. Agreed changes are made and you know exactly how updates work from there.

Can I update the menu myself?

Small changes like menu items, prices and hours are included in the monthly fee: send an email and it gets done. If you change your menu often, ask about a setup you can edit yourself.

Can the site take table bookings?

Yes. I can connect the booking system you already use, or set up a simple booking request form that goes to your email.

Will it work with Google Maps and my Google profile?

Yes. The site shows your address and hours clearly, and I'll make sure your website and Google Business Profile match, which helps people find you.

What does it cost?

Essential is A$1,190 for up to 5 pages, plus A$49 a month for hosting, updates and support. Sites with built-in bookings or more pages start from A$1,990. You get a fixed price in writing before any work starts.
